Although retail trading has been around since the late 19th century, we’re currently witnessing the heyday of investment activity from regular people. Per research from Charles Schwab, some 23% of trading volume nowadays comes from retail traders, and the level of activity in 2023 has reached record levels and even surpassed the meme-stock frenzy of 2021.
Coinciding with the ever-increasing popularity of social media and global interconnectivity, this has led to an abundance of online trading communities, as well as a rapid expansion of professional services that are made for regular investors. However, these aren’t your old-school financial advisors and retirement planners—these services and communities are organic, DIY solutions for modern investors and traders.
There’s a lot to be gained here—from expert advice, trading ideas, and comprehensive education to a like-minded community of peers. However, like with all things nowadays, abundance does not equal accessibility—we still have to do our homework and find the best solutions in this cornucopia of choices.
Today, we’ll be taking a closer look at HighStrike—a service that organically grew out of a Discord server into a professional service that now boasts more than 10,000 members, a thriving and active community, and three separate services that provide both educational materials and a wide variety of features to traders.
We’ll cover all three services, and give you an in-depth overview of what each one offers and who it caters to—and the rest is up to you.

Who is HighStrike Best For? 🏆
HighStrike’s offerings span a wide array of topics, and there are a lot of services on offer. Looking at the big picture, we’d single out three main groups that stand to benefit the most from what HighStrike has to offer.
First are the novices and beginners. If you’re just starting to trade and need a primer on everything from reading a stock chart to the different types of trading orders available, HighStrike has you covered. However, since the educational materials offered covered so much ground, even traders who have a bit of experience but still need to learn a bit more to have a truly solid foundation stand to benefit—primarily from The Trading School.
The second category encompasses beginners but also much more seasoned traders—these groups would benefit the most from The Trading Room. The addition of weekly Q&A sessions, direct access to traders, a lot more in terms of educational content, and a supportive community offers plenty of value for any trader looking to up their game.
Together with an emphasis on options trading and well-researched trading alerts, HighStrike’s second tier is mostly geared toward traders who are already on their way in their financial journeys.
Last but not least, the Alpha Mastermind group is a bit more focused in terms of target audience. This 90-day course is a comprehensive sprint intended for traders who want to take a big step by becoming full-time traders.
Recommended only for skilled traders with accounts worth at least $10,000, the Alpha Mastermind group offers a lot of value—but taking advantage of it requires time and dedication.
All in all, that’s a pretty wide gamut—we think it’s fair to say that everyone can find something from themselves in Highstrike’s offerings. However, to really tell if any part of HighStrike is the right fit for your needs, we need to get a bit more granular and in-depth.
HighStrike’s Key Offerings 🔑
HighStrike might be divided into three standalone services, but its entire ecosystem has a pronounced focus on two factors—education and interactivity. These were obviously priorities, as they echo throughout everything Highstrike does.
By offering well-produced educational materials, interactive learning through peers and community, and direct access to professional traders, HighStrike manages to offer value to various stripes of traders—so let’s begin with the first tier.
HighStrike Trading School 🔓
The first subscription model from HighStrike offers a comprehensive day trading course designed for learners without prior trading knowledge. The Trading School’s main feature is a comprehensive self-paced educational course. The course consists of five modules:
- Setting up for success
- The technical analysis blueprint
- The A – Z options roadmap
- The advanced strategies toolkit
- Case Studies & live trade library
Altogether, the course has more than 20 hours of video content. The first module focuses on the basics—setting up a brokerage account, tax considerations that have to be kept in mind, an overview of the Discord group, and a couple of other topics such as the difference between cash accounts and margin accounts and order flow.
The second module introduces the concept of technical analysis. Various methods for analyzing price action are covered, as well as the use of technical indicators, charting tools, chart patterns, Japanese candlesticks, position sizing, reversals, breakouts, pattern day trading rules, and support and resistance.
The third module, the options roadmap, is quite the comprehensive guide to trading these complex financial contracts. It covers everything from the basics of how options work, concepts like in the money or at the money, to important metrics like the Greeks, and also introduces several strategies such as spreads, straddles, and strangles.
The fourth module covers slightly more advanced strategies and approaches for both stocks and options. Topics include news trading, inverse and leveraged ETFs, swing trading IPO stocks, Iron Condors and Butterflies for options, as well as sideways or rangebound trading, advanced candlestick patterns, how to react when support or resistance is broken, as well as how to identify a false breakout.
Finally, the fifth module, Case Studies & Live Trade Library puts everything together, with a wide variety of video content covering previous live trading sessions. These videos mostly cover day trading, swing trading, as well as time decay and how to cut losses, with examples using popular contracts with lots of volume (SPY puts, TSLA puts, and AMZN calls, for example).
HighStrike Trading Room 🔓
The Trading Room offers a dynamic and interactive trading experience. Members gain access to 80 hours of additional educational content—most of which consists of previously recorded live-trading sessions.
Along with that, traders who opt for this tier gain full access to the Discord server. This entails the lively discussions of a 10,000+ strong community, trading ideas from members, and the opportunity to organically pick up on various strategies or tips.
The in-house team of experts also provides a daily video briefing that covers the most important goings-on in the market, and consistently keeps the community updated on what they’re paying attention to.
The Trading Room also provides 3 to 6 daily trading alerts, which have an average win rate of 71%. The team at HighStrike also provides 1 to 3 signals each day that are tailor-made for smaller accounts. The biggest difference between the first tier and the second is how interactive and hands-on the Trading Room is.
On top of that, the access to experts is much greater at this tier—members can follow 2 to 3 live-streamed trading sessions per day, allowing them to get an in-depth look at the methodologies of the in-house professional traders, each of whom has a preferred method and style of trading.
This tier also provides direct access to traders—members can directly interact with instructors, ask them for pointers on strategy, or get their trades reviewed. The experts host a weekly Q&A session that is hosted via Zoom.
If your schedule is a bit loaded, there’s no need to fret—all of the live-streamed content, as well as the Q&A sessions are recorded, so you can view them at your own pace.
HighStrike Alpha Mastermind 🔓
Finally, the HighStrike Alpha Mastermind course is an intensive 90-day trading program that emphasizes advanced trading knowledge, trading psychology, and actionable steps. The idea behind it is very simple—the goal is to give experienced traders the leg up they need to become professional, full-time traders.
The Trading School has 20 hours of educational content—the Trading Room has 100, and the Alpha Mastermind program includes all of that, plus an additional 72 hours of material in the form of a new, comprehensive course consisting of 10 modules.
This course tackles a lot of advanced concepts—from hedging strategies using options to risk management, and smart money concepts, to the tenets of trading psychology and the basics of crypto trading.
The Alpha Mastermind plan comes with quite a schedule—daily trading signals are provided, and members can access live trading sessions on Tuesdays, exclusive roundtables on Wednesdays, and live lessons on Thursdays. On top of that, those who opt for this course will get invited to an exclusive Facebook group that contains homework, quizzes, and watchlists.
To supplement this, subscribers will also have specialized coaching from the team’s in-house trading psychology expert, Sarah Banwart, as well as three personalized 1-on-1 coaching sessions from the expert trader of their choice.
Fees: Pricing and Subscription Options 💰
HighStrike is an interesting case when it comes to fees and pricing—while the overall offerings are diverse, each plan only has one billing option.
The Trading School will set aspiring traders back $397 as a one-time payment. While that is a hefty asking price, subscribers do gain lifetime access, as well as an invitation to the Discord group, as well as the ability to have their trades reviewed by the in-house experts.
The main offering, The Trading Room, comes with a price tag of $199 / month. That isn’t pocket change, but 3-6 daily signals with an average 71% hit rate and an additional 80 hours of educational material on top of those available via The Trading School go a long way in making this a reasonable asking price.
Coupled with the fact that subscribers gain access to weekly live Q&A sessions with the experts conducted via Zoom and the ability to DM the experts, we’d say that it’s a fair shake when it comes to price and value.
The third part of the service, the HighStrike Alpha Mastermind program doesn’t have a stated price—instead, would-be applicants have to book a call with the team. We couldn’t find the price listed anywhere—but as this is an intensive 90-day course with the most access to experts and daily trading signals, you can expect the price to be in line with the other two services.
HighStrike’s prices aren’t low—this isn’t a discount or barebones service, and the pricing is generally in line with or slightly higher than industry standards. However, you get a lot of bang for your buck, so we’d have to say that the price points are a fair reflection of the value of what you get for each of the three services.
Customer Service ☎️
HighStrike takes customer service quite seriously. Any issues can be resolved by contacting the CS team via a contact form or live chat on the platform’s website, as well as via the service’s social media profiles on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
However, since the service organically grew out of a Discord community, most of the action still takes place on that platform. The best way to get your queries solved quickly is to get in touch with a team member via Discord.
However, whatever avenue of communication you may choose, HighStrike’s customer service is quick to respond, knowledgable, and patient—as attested to by numerous Trustpilot reviews. The platform also offers a 90-day free refund period.
Educational Resources 🏫
Educational resources are HighStrike’s most important selling point, together with direct access to expert traders. The service’s first tier, The Trading Room, provides access to a self-paced day trading course that can bring beginners up to speed or fill in the gaps for traders who already know a thing or two.
The course has more than 20 hours of video content, and this first tier also gives subscribers access to the Discord community, as well as helpful daily briefings from the in-house team of experts. However, at this tier, your access to experts is limited—while you can get basic pointers and advice, there’s a very reasonable sort of “rationing” at work since we’re dealing with a community of more than 10,000 members.
The second tier, The Trading Room, ups the ante significantly. Along with the self-directed course, members gain access to an additional 80 hours of educational content in video format. This tier also gives access to more channels in the Discord server, the ability to message the in-house team of experts and have your trades reviewed, as well as 3 to 6 daily alerts with clear entry points and price targets, on top of 3 daily alerts geared specifically toward smaller accounts.
This is a much more interactive experience overall—the daily signals are often live-streamed, and the opportunity to chat with experts and other traders on Discord is a great learning opportunity.
Finally, the Alpha Mastermind plan is an intense 90-day sprint that was designed over 4 years to turn experienced traders into professional traders.
Overall, this is a very comprehensive educational offering. The three levels are a great fit for beginners, intermediate traders, and experienced traders respectively, and the comprehensive coursework and interactive nature of the community make for a very appealing service on the educational front.
Who is Behind HighStrike? 💡
Although HighStrike’s educational resources are fantastic, that isn’t what sets this platform apart from the competition. HighStrike is one of the few (potentially the only) service of its kind that can boast about having not one, but three funded prop traders as part of its team.
First, let’s expand on the prop trading bit and why it matters. Prop trading is the practice of trading with the capital of a company instead of your own. Prop trading firms have rigorous tests that only 3% of applicants on average pass—those that do get access to capital and get to keep a percentage of the profits they generate.
Of course, those traders have to stay consistently profitable, meet targets, and avoid big drawdowns—if they fail to do so, their accounts are revoked. Passing a test is a big deal—and keeping a prop trading account for an extended period of time is an even greater accomplishment.
The first prop trader on the team is Nick Paul, who manages over $400k in capital. Nick’s primary strategy is scalping, and he prefers to trade forex and indices. He generally trades US morning volatility, especially in the pre-market trading session, and prefers to trade NASDAQ, GOLD, and the EUR/USD and USD/JPY currency pairs.
The second prop trader is Ben Chaffee, who handles more than $600k in capital from a whopping three prop trading firms—FTMO, Alpha Capital Group, and Fortunes Funding. He specializes in equities and indices, with a focus on intraday price action and buyer/seller pressure. Ben prefers to trade SPY, AAPL, and Nasdaq.
Finally, Sage Teixeira is the platform’s leading options trader. His primary focuses are on instruments that have a lot of implied volatility and liquidity, and he prefers to trade options contracts on ETFs and mega-cap stocks. In terms of strategy, Sage utilizes both day trading and swing trading.
Advantages 💯
If we had to distill the main advantages of HighStrike, we would end up with three main points: education, experts, and community.
In terms of educational content, HighStrike is almost a one-stop shop. While you won’t find resources for conservative, long-term investing here, all manner of short-term trading approaches are covered in great detail.
As we’ve mentioned, the material spans everything from the very basics all the way to advanced strategies and smart money concepts, so practically everyone who doesn’t already make a living trading can learn a lot from HighStrike’s curriculum.
The second point—experts and access to them, is by far the most significant. It’s one thing to have access to content produced or curated by experts—plenty of educational services offer the same.
However, being able to observe funded prop traders livestream their process multiple times a week, engage in Q&A sessions weekly, and having the ability to directly engage with these experts and have them review your trades is a rarity.
Although the level of engagement isn’t the same for all the tiers of the service, you still gain access to the experts in all three. Even if you’re a beginner, you can get answers to questions and get your trades reviewed—on the other end of the scale, subscribers who opt for the Alpha Mastermind tier get three one-hour one-on-one sessions with the expert prop trader of their choice.
Finally, a lively, supportive community of like-minded individuals is a boon that is often underestimated. Trading can get lonely—apart from the mechanics of peering at a screen for a good part of the day, having no one to talk to or discuss an activity that you’ve chosen as your approach to achieving financial security can lead to feelings of isolation.
HighStrike’s community isn’t just a social hub—it’s also a setting for peer learning, and it also helps to counter one of HighStrike’s main drawbacks—a lack of diversity when it comes to strategy.
We’ll touch on drawbacks more below—but to put it briefly, most of the strategies that the service teaches are short-term when it comes to timeframes, and require a hefty risk tolerance. Most traders, however, will also maintain a conservative long-term investing portfolio for the purpose of retirement planning.
Although it isn’t a direct line to experts, a community of people focused on trading also doubles as a great source of knowledge for other forms of investing.
Disadvantages ❌
Although a good service and a beneficial ecosystem overall, HighStrike is by no means perfect. While the educational aspect is great, with a wide variety of content that spans various topics, there’s a pronounced lack of any material that covers investing. If you’re confused, trading refers to short-term plays aimed at quickly securing profit—while investing refers to a longer-term, traditional buy-and-hold method.
While this is by no means a dealbreaker, there are plenty of investors out there who simply don’t have the risk tolerance (or time) to actively trade in any capacity, even casually. And while traditional investing isn’t going to net double-digit gains each month for anyone, it’s still a notable gap in what Highstrike offers.
In terms of approach, most of what HighStrike covers centers on day trading and trading options—with a notable and expanding focus on forex trading. All of these are perfectly valid approaches, and the strategies that HighStrike teaches work—but on the whole, looking at educational materials and strategies, all 3 services are geared toward people who are interested in short-term trading and have a significant degree of risk tolerance.
Apart from this, there is only one other notable issue—and that is research tools. While HighStrike’s 3 core services do tackle research in the form of market reports, daily updates, and the like, none of them offer access to tools such as stock screeners, charting platforms, or advanced analytics.
While this isn’t a dealbreaker, trading at a high level (particularly for the target audience of the Trading Room and the Alpha Mastermind course) does require in-depth research—meaning that subscribers will have to go outside the ecosystem to find what works for them.
Last but not least, we have to mention the price. All 3 of the main offerings from HighStrike are fairly priced, and worth the money—all 3 provide enough value for their target audiences. However, the asking prices can be a bit steep for beginners—although we’d put it simply like this: if you can afford it, then it’s worth it.
Conclusion 🏁
Retail traders are increasingly turning to professional services that offer guidance, education, alerts, or research tools in order to level the playing field in the stock market.
We’re very fortunate to be present in a time where an abundance of these services exist—but since they come with hefty price tags, making the right call is still of the utmost importance—and it isn’t made any easier by that abundance.
In this crowded field, HighStrike stands apart owing to several unique merits. It’s a wide ecosystem that provides value to various profiles of traders, an exhaustive source of educational materials, and one of the rare services that can get traders directly in touch with professionals whose results back up their claims.
To summarize things as simply as possible—anyone who is interested in short-term trading ought to give HighStrike a closer look. It isn’t for everyone, but with three clearly delineated and different offerings, plenty of short-term traders would benefit from giving the platform a try.
