Shares of GameStop surged over 7% in premarket trading after the company named Ryan Cohen its new CEO.
Two other GameStop directors and Cohen's associates, Larry Cheng and Alan Attal, also bought GME shares this week.
GameStop also announced has named Ryan Cohen as the Executive Chairman of its Board of Directors.
After apparently pivoting to digital last year, GME now looks to be reinforcing its brick-and-mortar business.
